Jeana Harpenau
Dance Instructor

Jeana Harpenau, originally from Haubstadt, Indiana, has dedicated her life to dance since the age of three. She began teaching at twelve and choreographing at eighteen, developing a deep love for tap dance. While attending Purdue University, she became the first dancer to introduce tap into the Purdue Repertory Dance Company.
After completing her master’s degree in Public Health and working in Health Education, Jeana’s passion for dance reignited when her daughter fell in love with tap. For the past eighteen years, she has taught and choreographed for competitive dance studios in Indiana and Kansas, traveling nationwide to train with some of the industry’s best. Her experience includes studying under former Radio City Rockettes, the Syncopated Ladies, and Olympic Competitive Tap Dancers.
Jeana attends RIFF Dallas annually, a national tap festival where she hones her teaching techniques and continues her tap education. Her choreography has been showcased at competitions such as Tremaine, Adrenaline, BRAVO, and Stage One, earning Platinum and Double Platinum rankings, as well as a Top Choreographer award.
Jeana’s goal as an instructor is to ensure that her students not only master the fundamentals of tap but also develop an appreciation for the art form. She is committed to creating a fun, engaging learning environment that fosters both skill and passion.
